About
A bridge between worlds.
Eva Kandra is a model, somatic educator, and retreat facilitator devoted to the art of embodiment, self-expression, and healing. Raised in Bali, her work is deeply shaped by a reverence for nature, movement, and ancestral wisdom. She is passionate about being a bridge between worlds—honoring both her Canadian and Indigenous Balinese heritage.
Eva’s mother arrived in Bali in the late 1980s, a time when the island’s expat community was so small, she could name nearly everyone. Her father, an Indigenous Balinese man from the village of Bunga Sari in Karangasem, near Bali’s sacred Mother Temple, instilled in her the importance of being a custodian of the land and culture.
Rooted in these influences, Eva inspires others to reconnect with indigenous wisdom and the gifts of the Leluhur—the ancestors—who she believes are the source of Mana, the life force that empowers and guides us. Through her modeling, retreats, and somatic work, she weaves together ancient teachings and contemporary embodiment practices, inviting others into deeper relationship with themselves and the world around them.
As a model, Eva has collaborated with global brands and creatives, using her presence to explore storytelling through the body. Beyond the fashion industry, she channels her passion into somatic education, guiding individuals through deep listening practices, body wisdom, and transformation. Through Studio From Soma, she celebrates the beauty and intelligence of the female form, currently expressed through handcrafted belly chains that honor the belly and womb.
Eva also leads Kembali, a community-centered initiative dedicated to preserving Bali’s cultural and ecological heritage, fostering a regenerative relationship between people and place. Her retreats, offerings, and one-on-one facilitation weave together Traditional Tantric Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, somatic inquiry, and breast & belly massage—creating spaces for deep nourishment, presence, and personal transformation.
